During the 2015 legislative session, bill AB165 was passed providing a means for taxpayers to contribute funds to an approved Scholarship Organization in lieu of paying all or part of their modified business tax.

Silver State Scholarships is proud to be one of the registered Scholarship Grant Organizations.

Scholarships of up to $9,810.00 per student will be granted to students living in the State of Nevada that would like to attend a private school and are entering grades K through 12.  In order to receive the scholarship, the school must be registered with the Department of Education. (For a listing, click here).  The student must also be a member of a household that has a household income within 300% of the federally designated poverty level.

As our funds are limited, the scholarships will be granted in the order in which the signed, completed, and qualified application is received.
